Group 3 was face to face with Falgar and his two legendary companions. These three foes were of the undead variety and Falgar had used powerful Shifter magic to subdue Deathsap and Leogold. The party engaged them in combat with the undead foes; powers were expended and weapons drew blood as the party attempted to slay the undead foes. Kendy arrived into the fray with a new ally by her side. The new ally, a Mul, jumped into the battle headfirst and unleashed powerful sword magics. The battle was long and hard-fought, but in the end the party was victorious. Leogold had the weapon known as “The Last Right” in his grasp and felt its power surge through him. Syxen performed a ritual of passing for the fallen undead heroes they had just slain, and found a sword carried by the Dwarf Paladin Dwinton. Kendy and Dara both found the totem used by the Shaman, Rosta, and argued about who should keep it. Dara won in the end as she stated her intentions were to keep it as a token of her journeys through the mortal realm; Kendy allowed her to claim the item with much dismay.
The party managed to make their way out of Damascus by way of the route Kendy had found when she fled earlier to find her new ally. The new ally presented himself to the group as they journeyed, the Mul went by the name of Caslon and did not present much more than that. He and Kendy had worked together not that long ago and she was owed a favor for her help. The party greeted him with some hesitation, but Deathsap felt something about this new member which reminded him of himself. Dara analyzed this new creature from afar and felt his eyes held tremendous heartache, pain, and the desire for revenge. Dara mentioned this to no one and suggested the group continue moving.
The party had reached Fallford by pushing on through the night, and it was time for Leogold to see if the token he received from two bumbling Dwarves was an actual entrance token or not. The city of Fallford had one large entrance gate which was heavily defended and fortified; Leogold presented his token and was believed to be a Viceroy from the city itself who had either just been placed into power, or gone for a long period of time. The party was allowed in under the belief the members where Leogold’s servants. Once inside the gates, the party took on a mission to help a guard purchase tickets for a showing of a famous Dwarven play titled Tiberius. The party agreed and were allowed to enter the city without losing half of their equipment due to contraband laws currently being enforced by the Controllers and the Grand Regent.
The party moved towards the Theater Block with the help of a government appointed guide who named Timothy. Timothy assured the party he was there only to be sure they were following the rules of the land, and to act as a guide to all Fallford had to offer. Leogold attempted to buy tickets to the play, but was told only the highest of ranking seats were available for 600 gold pieces. Leogold found information leading him to some scalpers near the stadium itself and provided a plan to have some of the party members purchase these tickets from the scalpers while he distracted Timothy. Kendy, Caslon, Foopooz, and Deathsap (hidden in Kendy’s bag) searched for the leader of these scalpers known as Leon. Kendy struck up a conversation with Leon and purchased what she believed to be commoner seat tickets. Timothy saw these and recognized them as fakes instantly; Kendy turned quickly to see if she could see Leon and attempt to catch him, but he was nowhere to be seen. Syxen and Dara watched some street performers swallow swords and spit out fire close by the location of the rest of the party; Syxen felt someone attempt to reach into his pocket and caught this evil-doors arm. Leon was attempting to pickpocket him right after he had successfully sold fake tickets to Kendy. Leogold called for Timothy and the rest of his party to decide Leon’s fate. Leogold reminded Timothy regarding the rules for thievery, and Timothy (believing Leogold to be a Viceroy) swiftly sliced Leon’s right hand off in the middle of the Theater Block for all to see with no hesitation. Timothy called for guards to come and remove the thief from the streets; Syxen bent down and healed Leon’s wound to seal it up. While doing so, Leon looked up and gave Syxen a look he had seen once before. Syxen recognized this look as the same one given to him by Minron when he fled his home continent, the look of vengeance and desire to kill.
With tickets in hand, the party returned to the guard, Antonius, who presented the party with a chest full of contraband as a reward. Once finished distributing the loot, the party moved to the Golden Pole. This establishment was one of the largest, and better looking, brothels in the city. Syxen waited outside as he had no desire to watch naked women dance for his pleasure, and stood with Timothy directly outside the brothel. As the party entered, Kendy and Caslon were drawn to a human woman dancing on stage; they couldn’t help but watch as she moved atop the stage. The human woman, Malia, approached Caslon and whispered into his ear to meet her in room 13. Malia left the stage and both Kendy and Caslon had regained control of themselves.
Both spoke with each other and decided to follow her request just to see what exactly did she want from them…
